India left-handed batter and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has not been picked in the Indian ODI squad, and he has now reacted to it. The selection committee and the BCCI did not give Pant a chance in the series against the West Indies. Dhruv Jurel has been given the opportunity instead.

The second ODI between India and the West Indies is being played today. Against this backdrop, what Pant said about not getting a place in the squad has come to light.

In a recent podcast, Pant spoke about being left out of ODI cricket and the T20 squad. While expressing disappointment at missing out, he explained how, as a player, it is necessary to stand firm again after every failure.

Speaking about not making the ODI squad, Pant said, "It certainly hurts when you don't get a place in the team. But whenever there is a big blow or a failure, that is where the chance for a strong comeback comes, or you have to create it. Players have to face such ups and downs."

Pant's words show his confident outlook. He appears to be working hard to return to limited-overs cricket, and is ready to secure his place once again in India's limited-overs playing XI.

Pant is currently captaining the Rest of India team in the Irani Cup. His main aim appears to be maintaining his form ahead of the important upcoming Test series against New Zealand.

India will soon play a three-match series against New Zealand. Pant's participation in the Irani Cup is considered very important with that series in view. He is expected to focus on spending as much time as possible on the field in the challenging conditions of Test cricket, playing long innings and proving his ability to win matches.

In short, Pant is currently not in the ODI and T20 squads, but he is leading his team in the Irani Cup and preparing himself for the next Test series.
