Ram Mandir trust member Dinendra Das backs saffron dress code for temple staff
Trust member Dinendra Das says staff counting donations must also wear saffron, and that all decisions of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust must be followed.
Dinendra Das, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust (Ram Mandir), has backed the decisions being taken on the temple's traditions and arrangements. Speaking to a news agency on Thursday, he said everyone should abide by whatever decisions the trust takes. Staff who count donations will now also have to wear saffron clothes.
According to Das, whatever the trust decides must be followed by those associated with Ramlala. He said it would be best to maintain the tradition that has continued since Ramlala's time. He said everyone was satisfied and would work accordingly.
Das spoke in particular about the attire of people associated with the worship of Ramlala and with the institutions. He said that, along with the priests who conduct worship in the temple, all attendants would have a traditional dress code that includes saffron-coloured clothes. Following these rules is mandatory.
Asked what staff who do counting and other work would wear, Das clarified that they too would follow the same tradition. These staff would be seen in the same kind of clothes that the priests wear.
Asked about the trust seeking staff members' biodata, meaning personal details, Das said the process was already under way and must be continued. According to him, it shows who is coming from where, and it will keep the entire process transparent.
On other arrangements at the temple and questions related to donations, he said everything was being done after due consideration. Worship of Ramlala is being conducted properly, and everything will now be fine, he said.
Meanwhile, the Ram Mandir trust is continuously working to maintain the temple's traditions and make its administrative arrangements transparent.
