Pune city had rain on Monday, but it took a break again on Tuesday. There were a few clouds in the sky in the morning, but the sun turned harsh after noon and the humidity rose. On Tuesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.2 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday (the 30th), the mercury reached 31 degrees and people are again having to deal with the humidity.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the chances of rain in Pune city and surrounding areas will remain low over the next two to three days, and temperatures may rise slightly. There were a few clouds over the city and its surroundings from Tuesday morning, but they cleared after noon and the sting of the sun was felt. With the rain stopping, humidity in the air also increased. With little chance of rain in the coming days, both maximum and minimum temperatures may rise. A few clouds are expected in the sky on Wednesday morning.

Thunder and lightning are likely on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Light showers may also fall in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature that day is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 21 degrees Celsius. For now, the mercury in Pune stands at 31 degrees.

The sky is likely to be mostly clear on Thursday (the 1st), though some clouds may appear in the afternoon and evening. Rain chances will remain low after that too, so the heat of the sun and the humidity in the city may increase.

Meanwhile, in Akola, rain has gone missing despite the season. People in the district and Patur taluka are enduring the sting of the harsh sun and unbearable humidity. Clouds gather in the sky from time to time, but instead of rain, the sun's intensity is growing. As a result, people are experiencing the scorching "October heat" as early as September.
