Praful Patel meets Sharad Pawar at Breach Candy Hospital, asks about Amit Shah meeting

Praful Patel, national working president of the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party, met senior party leader Sharad Pawar at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday (November 5). All eyes in Maharashtra politics are on developments in the party, and the meeting has set off fresh discussion in political circles.

Sharad Pawar is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Patel went there to enquire after his health. But talk about the meeting did not stop at his well-being.

According to sources, Pawar asked Patel about the meeting held with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. He is said to have wanted to know what was actually discussed at that meeting and which issues were raised.

That meeting took place on November 2. Six key leaders of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP met Shah in Delhi. The delegation included Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, Chhagan Bhujbal, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde and Dilip Walse Patil. Since then, there has been talk about the party's internal developments and the future political course of the two factions.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Pawar, Patel said that "Saheb" is in good health. According to him, Pawar was laughing and asking what was going on in the state as well as in the country.

Patel also said that although their political roles may differ, personal affection and family ties remain intact. He said it was not appropriate to discuss other political matters in a hospital, so he refrained from saying much on the subject.

Before Patel, Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and Congress MLA Vishwajeet Kadam had also met Sharad Pawar.

Following the meeting, fresh discussion has begun over political talks between the two NCP factions. However, there has so far been no official confirmation of what political matters were actually discussed at the meeting.
