Boy abducted from Nagpur station on false job promise, rescued in UP
A 6-year-old boy abducted from Nagpur railway station after the accused lured his family with a job offer was rescued safely in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
A sensational case of the abduction of a 6-year-old boy from Nagpur railway station has come to light. The abductor had kidnapped the boy after luring his family with the promise of getting them a job. On receiving the complaint, the railway police took up the matter seriously and began an investigation. Using CCTV footage, technical inquiry and the railway network, police tracked down the abductor. The abducted child was safely recovered after the accused was caught in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, along with the boy. The accused is 29-year-old Mithun Kumar Paswan, a resident of Bihar.
The incident took place at Nagpur railway station. The complainant, Bhanwarlal Chouhan, had arrived at Nagpur railway station with his three children on his way to Rajasthan. During this time, he met the accused. While talking, the accused lured the family with the promise of getting them a job and gained their trust. He then travelled with the family. After getting off at Nagpur railway station, the accused stayed in contact with the family. He later took the 6-year-old boy with him and fled from there. When the boy could not be found, the family lodged a complaint with the railway police in Nagpur. Based on the complaint, the railway police registered a case of abduction and started an investigation. During the probe, CCTV footage from the railway station premises was examined, and information was gathered about the accused's movements and his likely travel route. The investigation also found that the accused had headed towards Uttar Pradesh with the boy. Acting swiftly, the railway police team caught the accused at Mirzapur railway station in Uttar Pradesh and safely recovered the abducted boy from his custody. The reason behind the abduction is being investigated.
