Oppo launches F35 Pro 5G and F35 5G in India with 8,000mAh battery, 144Hz AMOLED display
Oppo marked 10 years of its F series by launching two phones in India, priced from Rs 38,999 for the F35 5G and Rs 45,999 for the F35 Pro 5G.
Competition among smartphone makers over bigger batteries, stronger cameras and faster displays is intensifying. Oppo has introduced a new generation of its F series in India. To mark 10 years of the series, the company has launched two new phones in the Indian market, the Oppo F35 Pro 5G and the Oppo F35 5G.
The new Oppo F35 series has an 8,000mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, a 50MP camera and a 144Hz AMOLED display. It could be of interest to customers looking for a phone with premium features.
The biggest highlight of the series is the 8,000mAh battery. The company says battery health will remain above 80 per cent even after long use. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. According to Oppo, the phone can last up to 2.95 days. It also claims 705.4 hours of standby time and about 15 hours of Instagram browsing. Actual battery backup will depend on how the phone is used.
The F35 series has a 17.22cm AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also offers a pixel density of 450ppi and support for 1.07 billion colours. The company claims peak display brightness of up to 3,600 nits. This is expected to improve video viewing, gaming and social media use.
On the camera front, there is a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calls, with a 100-degree field of view. The rear setup has a 50MP main camera with OIS support, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Both the front and rear cameras can record 4K video. AI features such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover, AI Clarity Enhancer and AI Portrait Glow are also provided.
For performance, the Oppo F35 Pro 5G has a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset. The phone also has a 5,000mm² VC cooling system, which can help keep temperatures in check during long use or gaming. It runs ColorOS 16.5, and the company claims a 6-Year Smoothness Protection. This feature is said to apply to the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The Oppo F35 Pro 5G starts at Rs 45,999 in India. The 8GB+128GB model costs Rs 49,999, while the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at Rs 54,999. It comes in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue and Twilight Brown.
The Oppo F35 5G starts at Rs 38,999. Its 6GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 38,999 and the 8GB+128GB model at Rs 42,999. It is available in Wave Blue, Mist Pink and Titanium Grey.
With the 8,000mAh battery, 144Hz AMOLED display, 50MP camera and 5G connectivity, the Oppo F35 series has drawn attention in the premium smartphone segment.
