Onkar Bhojane, who became a household name through 'Maharashtrachi HasyaJatra', is in the news for his new film, 'Affratafri', which is due to reach audiences soon. Before its release, however, the film had got caught up in a controversy.

The film's director, Milind Kavade, had made serious allegations against Bhojane. He had said Bhojane was unprofessional and a habitual liar. After the allegation, it became the talk of the town.

The row began because Bhojane was not coming for the promotion of 'Affratafri', which angered Kavade. In an interview, he said in anger that Bhojane was very unprofessional, lied and did not turn up for promotions. His statement set off a heated debate on social media and people began trolling Bhojane. Bhojane later put his side in an interview, but the row did not die down.

The whole team of 'Affratafri' recently gave an interview to ABP Majha. Notably, Bhojane and Kavade sat face to face in it. Everyone had expected a quarrel, but nothing of the kind happened.

Kavade said in the interview: "After I said that, I got a call from Onkar. He said, sir, I can understand the anger you feel. I am coming for the promotion. I told him, you are most welcome. And I ended the matter there." He added: "Yesterday too, I was asked about this in an interview. I said that for me the matter is over. He called me himself. Even if the call came four or five months later, he called, and that is what matters." The director has now stepped back and ended the dispute.

Hearing Kavade, Bhojane also responded calmly. He said: "It is always nice to hear praise about yourself. If there is a shortfall in communication on my part, I will improve it. Sometimes we give too much importance to small things. I feel we should not."

Bhojane also explained why he does not like promotions. He said: "I like talking about the film. I like talking about how the shoot went, what the co-stars were like, and recalling memories of the work. But these days, in the name of promotion, they ask something else. Which slum hut did you come from, which housing society do you live in; I do not like that. When I have built up my career, I will certainly tell how priceless the Diwali in my hut was. But right now I cannot talk about these things, so I keep a little distance."

Many people have found Bhojane's reply reasonable. He made it clear that he does not wish to get into pointless discussion and wants to speak only about his work. On the whole, the dispute between the two now appears to be over. All eyes are now on 'Affratafri', a comedy, and there is curiosity about Bhojane's performance.
