Oben Electric rolls out 10,000th Rorr motorcycle, Rorr Evo gets over 25,000 bookings
Oben Electric has built the 10,000th Rorr electric motorcycle at its Bengaluru plant, and the Rorr Evo has drawn more than 25,000 bookings since its May 2026 launch.
Oben Electric has crossed another milestone in the electric two-wheeler market. The 10,000th unit of the Rorr electric motorcycle has rolled out of the company's manufacturing plant in Bengaluru.
The company currently has more than 150 showrooms in over 90 cities across 18 states in India. The Bengaluru plant spans 3.5 acres and has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh units.
Oben Electric launched the Rorr Evo electric motorcycle in May 2026 at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999. That price was meant for the first 10,000 customers. The Rorr Evo has so far received more than 25,000 bookings. To meet the rising demand, the company has begun stepping up production.
Oben develops and makes several key parts of its electric bike in-house. These include the LFP battery, motor, VCU, charger and proprietary software. The Bengaluru plant is vertically integrated, which gives the company greater control over the manufacturing process. The company aims to open 200 exclusive showrooms in India by the end of FY27.
The Rorr Evo has a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack. According to the company, the battery offers 50% more heat resistance and twice the life cycle of a conventional lithium-ion battery. The bike has a 9 kW electric motor with an IP68 rating, developed in-house by Oben.
On performance, the Rorr Evo goes from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3 seconds. Its IDC range on a full charge is 180 km and its top speed is 110 kmph. The seat height is 780 mm and the seat length is 680 mm. The company claims the bike offers 10 litres of storage, a first in this segment. It comes in four colours: Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black and Photon White.
Motorcycles account for a large share of two-wheeler sales in the country, but in the electric two-wheeler market, sales of electric motorcycles are still lower than those of electric scooters. The 10,000th Rorr and the 25,000 bookings for the Rorr Evo are therefore seen as an important milestone for Oben.
