Mumbai's cruise tourism is set to get a new addition after five years. Cordelia Cruises' second ship, Cordelia Sky, will begin serving passengers from Mumbai from October 23. The ship will offer various sea voyage options, including to Goa and Lakshadweep.

The company's first ship, Empress, began service from Mumbai in September 2021. Before that, the ship used to operate under the name Empress of the Seas. Empress completed its first voyage from Mumbai on September 16, 2021. Now, five years later, a second ship is joining the Cordelia fleet.

The timeline of cruise voyages from Mumbai has been as follows: cruise service from Mumbai began with Empress in 2021, Empress's first voyage took place on September 16, 2021, Cordelia Sky joined the fleet in 2026, Sky's first voyage from Mumbai will take place on October 23, 2026, and a ship named Cordelia Sun is planned for 2027.

Cordelia Sky is 258 metres long and weighs 77,104 gross tonnes. Based on double occupancy, the ship has the capacity to carry 2,004 passengers. It has 1,002 staterooms. Passengers will also have access to 10 dining venues, 11 bars and lounges, two swimming pools and five hot tubs.

From Mumbai, Cordelia Sky will offer a two-night weekend cruise, a three-night Goa cruise and a four-night Lakshadweep cruise. A five-night cruise covering both Goa and Lakshadweep is also planned.

In the next phase, a seven-night cruise from Chennai to Southeast Asia has also been planned. This voyage will include Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. This means passengers will have the option of international sea voyages in addition to domestic ones.

The ship also has facilities for pickleball, deck cricket, swimming, gaming and fitness. Live music and various shows and programmes will also be organised. Passengers will also have options of Indian regional food along with sushi and Italian cuisine.
