Recent rain in Nagpur district had kept the weather cool and pleasant. However, the heat built up through Sunday, with residents getting some relief only in the evening.

Scattered light showers and drizzle were recorded in a few districts of Vidarbha on Sunday, but no heavy rain occurred anywhere. The weather department has forecast light rain at some places over the next two days.

The department has also indicated a rise in temperature, with the maximum temperature expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to stay close to normal levels. This means daytime heat could be felt in the coming days.

The city's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 31.0 degrees Celsius, which was 2.3 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature fell by 2.0 degrees compared to Saturday.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 20.0 degrees Celsius, which was 2.8 degrees below normal. Recent rain has caused a sharp drop in the minimum temperature, with the weather department recording a 4.2-degree fall in the city's minimum temperature on Sunday, a drop considered significant. Light drizzle remains possible at some places.

Because of this change in weather following recent rain, people in Nagpur district may experience mild heat in the afternoon, while mornings and late nights will stay somewhat cool. High moisture in the air could add to daytime discomfort even though temperatures are not very high.

Weather experts have advised residents to take special care of their health amid these fluctuations. A sudden change in temperature combined with humid conditions raises the risk of seasonal illnesses spreading, and doctors have urged people to drink enough water and stay alert.
