Large crowds of devotees and residents are expected in Nagpur on Dhammachakra Pravartan Din and Vijayadashami. In view of this, Maha Metro has extended the operating hours of Nagpur Metro trains for October 20. On that day, the metro service will be available from 5 am to midnight. The decision has been taken for the convenience of passengers.

Under Maha Metro's arrangement, Nagpur Metro services on October 20 will begin earlier than on regular days and run until late at night. The first train will leave at 5 am from all four terminals: Khapri, Automotive Square, Prajapati Nagar and Lokmanya Nagar. The last train will leave from these same terminals at midnight.

Dhammachakra Pravartan Din and Vijayadashami are counted among the major occasions in Nagpur. During these festivals, large numbers of devotees and residents head out in the city. The longer metro hours will give people the option of travelling early in the morning and late at night. Residents who use public transport during the festivals are expected to get relief from this.

Traffic pressure may also rise as more vehicles come out on the roads during the festivals. The extended metro hours could give people an easy alternative to using their own vehicles. It is hoped that this will also ease the traffic load on main roads to some extent.

The purpose of Maha Metro's special arrangement is to make movement easier for people during the festivals. It is expected that the additional hours of service will make travel more convenient for devotees and other passengers.

Passengers have been advised to confirm the operating hours and their journey details at their metro station or from Maha Metro's official notice before starting out, so that they face no inconvenience.
