A major decision has been taken to make government services easier to access for people in Nagpur district, including those in rural areas, and to speed up administrative work. On the instructions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has taken this key decision.

Under the decision, with a special focus on Nagpur and Gadchiroli districts, one new additional district magistrate office and 15 new additional tehsildar offices are being set up. The move means local farmers, students and ordinary people will no longer have to travel to distant tehsil or district headquarters for minor government work, saving them both time and money.

Given Nagpur district's fast-growing population, urbanisation and the widening scope of administrative work, a new additional district magistrate office has been set up in Nagpur Rural. Along with this, nine new additional tehsildar offices are being started in different tehsils of the district, so that government work across the district can be handled more quickly by dividing it across locations.

To ensure government services reach people in the remote and Naxal-affected areas of Gadchiroli district faster, six new additional tehsildar offices are being set up in six tehsils of the district. These include Korchi, Armori, Dhanora, Sironcha, Etapalli and Aheri tehsils. Because these areas have been difficult to access, people have until now had to travel long distances for government work; the new offices will ease this problem.

The initiative will make the revenue department's work more transparent and faster than before, and the new offices will also create new local jobs. Caste certificates, income certificates, land documents such as the 7/12 extract, and benefits of various government schemes will now be more easily available to people closer to their homes. This will save people both time and money and strengthen the administration at the grassroots level.
