Nagpur: Accused out on bail in POCSO case booked again for harassing 17-year-old girl
Jaripatka police have booked a 21-year-old man, out on bail in an earlier POCSO case, on the girl's complaint of obscene messages, stalking and death threats.
A case has emerged from the Jaripatka police station area of Nagpur, in which a 17-year-old girl has complained that she is allegedly being harassed through phone calls and messages. The complaint alleges that she was sent obscene messages, stalked, and that her family was threatened with death. On her complaint, police have registered a case against Samyak Bagde, 21, a resident of MHADA Quarters, Nari Road. The accused has not been arrested so far.
According to the information, the girl came to know the accused through the social media app Snapchat, and the two later met. It is alleged that the accused had forced her into a physical relationship. A case had already been registered in that matter under various sections, including the POCSO Act. The accused came out on bail about a month ago. A second case has now been registered on the girl's complaint after that earlier case.
According to the complaint, after coming out on bail, the accused again began harassing the girl by phone and messages. He is also accused of sending obscene messages, stalking her and threatening to kill her family.
On the night of September 29, the accused allegedly arrived in front of the girl's house. She told her mother. It is alleged that when the mother came out, the accused hurled obscene abuse at her and then fled the spot.
Jaripatka police have registered a case on the girl's complaint under relevant sections, including the POCSO Act, and begun an investigation. Police are searching for the accused. A case has been registered, but he has not yet been arrested. All the allegations against him are therefore subject to investigation.
