Commuters can now book a priority-queue slot online to register for the NCMC card, and can also opt to have the card delivered at home.

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has started a new facility for ST bus passengers. Commuters will no longer have to stand in queues for hours at ST centres to register for the NCMC card. The corporation has begun an online priority-queue slot booking system for card registration.

No fee will be charged for the slot booking. Passengers can also have the NCMC card delivered directly to their homes if they wish. According to the corporation, this will save ST passengers both time and effort.

Under the new system, passengers can fix a time for registration in advance on the ST's official website. For this, they must choose the online ticket booking option on the website. The slots available for NCMC card registration will then be displayed. The booking can be completed by choosing a date and time of convenience. No extra fee will be charged for booking a priority-queue slot, so it will be easier to plan registration even on crowded days.

To book a slot, first open the official website of the ST corporation. Then choose the online ticket booking option. Next, look for the option for NCMC card registration slots. Fill in the required details and choose a convenient time. Passengers should keep safe the details of the priority token they receive once the booking is complete. They should read carefully the instructions given on the website while booking, and plan registration according to the available times.

Passengers who want the card delivered at home instead of going to a registration centre can choose the 'Home Delivery' option given at the bottom of the form during slot booking. After this option is chosen, a team from the ST corporation will contact the passenger concerned. However, passengers should confirm the instructions given by the corporation on the process of receiving the card at home, its availability and the conditions that apply.

The priority token received through online slot booking will be valid for 48 hours. A citizen can book a priority token a maximum of 5 times. This will let passengers plan registration according to their own time, and the facility may help reduce queues at ST centres, especially on crowded days.

Overall, online slot booking and the home delivery option will make it easier for passengers to get the card. Time spent standing in queues will be saved, and the registration time can be fixed in advance.

Passengers are urged to use only the official website of the ST corporation for slot booking. They should not share personal information, bank account details or OTPs on any unknown link.
