The Marathi film Bandhu, releasing on November 20, centres on a brother but gives the sisters' bond a special place, with the two actresses working together for the first time.

The Marathi film Bandhu is set to release on November 20. The story revolves around a brother, but the relationship between sisters also gets a special place in it. Mrunmayee Deshpande and Smita Tambe, two seasoned actresses, will appear together on screen for the first time, playing real sisters.

A sisters' bond can be like friendship, can be full of quarrels, and can at times be a kind of companionship in which one understands the other's mind even without words. Bandhu offers a close look at this relationship.

The film is presented by Rajat Bedi. It has been made in association with JSD Studios and Triflix Entertainment. The producers are Pranav Desai, Juhi Desai and Kuldeep Sunil Ojha. The writing, dialogue and direction are by Nitin Sindhuvijay Supekar.

Though the film centres on the brother, the emotional world of the different relationships it shows is just as important. Within that world, the bond between Mrunmayee and Smita as sisters will stand out. From small spats to standing firmly by each other in joy and sorrow, the delicate moments and emotional connection of this relationship will come through in the film. Their performances will show affection and understanding for each other.

Mrunmayee Deshpande says Bandhu is not just the story of two brothers but a story of the love, attachment and emotional bond hidden in family relationships. According to her, the sisters' relationship in the film is full of warmth and delicacy. She said working with Smita didi for the first time was a very good experience, and that a distinct chemistry was felt while bringing this relationship to the screen, understanding each other's feelings. She hopes audiences will also like the relationship.

Speaking about her character, Smita Tambe says, "The relationship of a sister is very special. There is love in it, there are quarrels, there is concern for each other, and many times there is the strength to recognise what is in the other's mind without a word being said. While playing this relationship in Bandhu, I was able to connect with its different emotions, and I am very happy about that. While bringing this relationship to the screen, I have tried to preserve its delicacy and warmth."

The film's lullaby, Bandhu Ram Ka, has already been released. The song, which evokes innocent love, carries listeners into a world of melodious emotion. Mrunmayee and Smita appear in the song. The lyrics are by Vaibhav Deshmukh and the music is by Vijay Narayan Gawande. The voices of Amita Ghugari and Shamika Bhide make it even more worth listening to. The music rights to the film's songs are held by Zee Music.
