Nagpur: Case filed against man for demanding Rs 2,000 weekly extortion from medical store salesman
Panchpaoli police have registered an extortion case against Pradeep Thapa, who allegedly threatened to shut a Lalganj medical store when its salesman refused to pay.
Nagpur: Police have registered a case against a man accused of extorting weekly protection money from a medical store employee.
Premnath Nimje, a resident of Tandapeth, works as a salesman at Subodh Medical Stores at Raut Chowk in Lalganj. The accused, Pradeep Thapa, came to the store and, abusing Nimje, demanded Rs 2,000 as weekly extortion money. When Nimje refused, Thapa threatened to shut the shop down.
On Nimje's complaint, Panchpaoli police have registered a case of extortion.
