Mahindra is set to significantly expand its SUV portfolio over the next few months, with three important SUVs on the way: the Thar facelift, the Vision.S and the BE.07. Of these, the Thar facelift is expected to launch very soon, on September 22, 2026, while production models of the Vision.S and the BE.07 could arrive in 2027.

The biggest question around the Thar facelift is what changes it will bring. This new update to the second-generation Thar is expected to get design cues inspired by the Thar Roxx. The new radiator grille could feature straight slats, a honeycomb pattern and improved headlamps. It may also get C-shaped LED daytime running lights, new alloy wheels and some modern features. Passive keyless entry, push-button start and a wireless phone charger are also among the features expected. However, no major changes are expected to the engine and transmission.

Mahindra's Vision.S will enter the market as a compact SUV under 4 metres in length. The vehicle is progressing toward a production model based on the new NU_IQ platform, which can support petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric options, though the initial focus is expected to be on petrol and diesel engines. This 5-seater SUV will come with a dual-screen setup and may be designed to carry a Thar-like SUV look.

The third vehicle, the BE.07, will be an important model among Mahindra's upcoming electric SUVs. This roughly 4.6-metre-long SUV could compete with models such as the Tata Harrier.ev. According to the information available, it may come in a single-motor rear-wheel-drive configuration, with 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery options offering different power outputs. The top variant's range could exceed 650 km.

Mahindra's upcoming lineup shows the company is trying to cater to a wide range of needs at once, from off-road enthusiasts to buyers looking for family SUVs. From the Thar facelift to the electric BE.07, Mahindra's SUV range is set to see considerable variety in design, technology and powertrains in the coming period.
