The home ministry has sought complete details of all police posts that will fall vacant by June 2027. It is being said that the recruitment process will officially begin in the new year, 2027.
For the past two years, the state has consistently seen record police recruitments. Candidates preparing for police recruitment are therefore being advised to start preparing for the physical and written examinations from now.
This new recruitment is likely to be held for about 8,100 posts that will remain vacant until June 2027. Training for candidates recruited earlier has already begun since June, while training for the remaining candidates will start in February 2027. For this reason, the actual process for the new recruitment could begin as early as January 2027. An official announcement on this is expected soon.
Eligible candidates for these 8,100 vacant posts may be given the opportunity to submit their applications between December 1 and December 31, 2026. Following this, the recruitment process will actually begin between January 1, 2027 and March 31, 2027. Keeping this timetable in mind, young people who work hard and plan carefully from now stand to gain a big advantage from this opportunity.
