The monsoon remains active in parts of Maharashtra, and the weather department has issued a region-wise forecast for the next three to four days. Light rain is likely in some parts of the state, while Vidarbha is expected to see heavier rain.

On September 26, light rain is likely at isolated places in the districts of Konkan-Goa, central Maharashtra and Marathwada. Wind speeds are expected to be higher in some districts of central Maharashtra and Marathwada, with surface winds of 40 to 50 kmph likely, the weather department said. In view of this, a yellow alert has been issued for Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli and Nanded districts. The administration has appealed to people to remain alert.

According to the September 26 forecast, isolated rain is likely in Konkan, central Maharashtra and Marathwada, while many places in Vidarbha may see rain along with thunderstorms at some spots. The sky over Mumbai city and its suburbs will be partly cloudy, with light rain likely once or twice. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 32 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius respectively. In Pune, the sky will mostly be clear, but it may turn partly cloudy in the afternoon or evening, with very light to light rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

For September 27, isolated rain is likely in Konkan, central Maharashtra and Marathwada, while some places in Vidarbha may see rain. On September 28 too, isolated rain is forecast in Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbha, while central Maharashtra may see isolated rain along with thunderstorms and strong gusty winds.

The forecast for September 29 indicates isolated rain in Konkan and Marathwada. Central Maharashtra may see isolated rain with thunderstorms and strong winds, while some places in Vidarbha are likely to receive rain.
