India and the West Indies are playing a three-match ODI series, and the second match is being played in Guwahati today. The ICC has meanwhile released the latest ODI rankings, in which India's star batter Virat Kohli has made a big jump.

Kohli scored a brilliant century in the first ODI in Thiruvananthapuram, making an unbeaten 139 off 88 balls. It was his 55th ODI hundred and 86th international century in all. After the innings he moved up one place to second in the ODI batting rankings. His rating is now 796.

Only India captain Shubman Gill is ahead of Kohli, staying at No. 1 with 816 rating points. Gill also scored a century against the West Indies in the same match, which strengthened his top position. But the gap between Kohli and Gill is now only 20 points, putting Gill's No. 1 position under threat.

India's Rohit Sharma remains fourth with 719 rating points. Rohit scored 32 off 35 balls in the Thiruvananthapuram ODI. New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell is third with a rating of 794.

Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis has benefited from his 121-run innings against England in Leeds. He has climbed three places to a career-best seventh position with 674 rating points. England's Harry Brook has moved up to 11th with a rating of 650 after scoring a half-century at The Oval. He is only three points behind Ireland's Harry Tector.

Among bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets for 40 runs in the second ODI against the West Indies. He has moved up to fifth with a rating of 623. Kuldeep was also named Player of the Match in that game.
