Alvin Prakash Kundar, a Karnataka man who had gone to Sharjah in the UAE in search of a better life, was brutally murdered in July. According to his family, his body was cut into nine pieces and packed into two bags after the murder. The body was found in a car parked on a road leading towards Oman.

There is no confirmed information yet on the current whereabouts of Prakash's wife Tina and their son, who is in class ten. No official information has been released so far on the motive for the murder or who may have been involved.

Alvin Prakash Kundar was from Kundapur in Karnataka's Udupi district. He had been working at Sharjah airport for about fourteen years and lived there with his wife Tina and son. Tina is a schoolteacher and their son is in class ten. Prakash had come to India last December and then returned to Sharjah.

Prakash's brother Anil Prashant Kundar said he called Prakash around July 20. Prakash did not take the call but sent a message saying he was fine. This raised the family's suspicion, since Prakash always used to speak through voice messages. When they tried to contact him again, there was no response. Anil then asked Prakash's classmate Manohar, who lives in Sharjah, to check on him.

Manohar went to the company accommodation where Prakash lived. According to the family, the watchman there said Prakash had gone to India. Initially, the company's HR department also said the same, that Prakash had gone to India. But Anil made it clear that Prakash had not returned to India. The company then checked his passport records and found that Prakash was still in Sharjah. A missing person complaint was filed after this.

During the search, Prakash's body was found in a car parked on the road leading towards Oman, the family said. The body had been cut into nine pieces and placed in two bags. The body was later identified as that of Prakash Kundar. No official information on the actual motive for the murder has emerged yet. Sharjah authorities have also not yet disclosed the identity of any suspects or the reason for the murder.

The whereabouts of Prakash's wife Tina and their son remain unclear since his death. Some reports have suggested the two may have come to India from Sharjah, but there has been no official confirmation of this. There is also no concrete evidence or official finding at this stage of any involvement by Tina in the murder. The family has said they were not aware of any dispute between Prakash and Tina.

Prakash's brother Anil met the Udupi Superintendent of Police to seek help in the case. The family is waiting for Prakash's body to be brought to India once legal procedures in the UAE are completed. The family has also demanded further information on exactly how the murder took place, the condition in which the body was found, and the whereabouts of Prakash's wife and son.
