US politics is abuzz with allegations that Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former President Donald Trump and a senior adviser in his first term, was involved in secret and illegal financial dealings linked to Gulf countries.

According to a report, Dutch intelligence monitored Kushner's iPhone during Trump's first term. It is claimed that details of secret deals involving Middle Eastern countries emerged during this hacking.

The report carries excerpts from an upcoming book by journalist Matthew Cole, titled "Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohammed bin Zayed's Secret Plot to Reshape the Middle East". According to the book's claims, Kushner had access to a specific bank account linked to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and was an authorised signatory on it. It says tens of millions of dollars were deposited into the account through a bank in Azerbaijan.

The report says about $750 million was sent to the account of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation at First Abu Dhabi Bank in Abu Dhabi. The organisation receives grants from the UAE government. The report states directly that Kushner was not the real owner of the account, but that his official signature was valid for transactions from it.

The report goes on to make more serious allegations. It says UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman deposited more than $2 billion in total into separate accounts linked to Kushner. Another alleged transaction is claimed to have moved $1 billion for Kushner's personal benefit. However, no official, publicly verified bank record or document supporting these allegations has so far emerged.

Kushner has rejected all the allegations strongly. In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he said the claims were "completely false, fabricated and made up". According to Kushner, the author of the book offered not a single piece of concrete evidence, such as bank statements, wire transfer records, account numbers or transaction dates. He also wrote that he had denied all these claims on the record.

Kushner said that in that period he was among the most scrutinised people in the world. He faced close media attention, several congressional investigations and a Special Counsel inquiry. He cooperated voluntarily with all of them and gave more than 30 hours of testimony. He said no such allegation ever surfaced then, because nothing of the kind had happened. The post is dated October 22, 2026.

Kushner's lawyer, Chad Mizelle, also said in response that no such bank accounts exist. According to him, all avenues of legal action remain open against what he called a defamatory report.
