Rest of India beat Jammu and Kashmir by 167 runs in the 2026 Irani Cup match. Smaran Ravichandran's century and Mukesh Kumar's bowling played a major part in the win.

Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and chose to bowl first. Rest of India scored 237 in 68 overs in the first innings. Jammu and Kashmir replied with 278. Rishabh Pant's side then batted well in the second innings to add 319, and Jammu and Kashmir's second innings folded for just 111.

In Rest of India's first innings, opener Shikhar Mohan made 60. Smaran Ravichandran contributed 68 and Sarfaraz Khan 45. For Jammu and Kashmir, captain Paras Dogra top-scored with 75. Abdul Samad supported him with 57. Bowler Nasir Muzaffar also made 64.

In the second innings, opener Sanat Sangwan made 55 for Rest of India. Smaran Ravichandran played an innings of 135 off 153 balls and gave Pant's side a big lead. Crossing 200 in the fourth innings was not easy. Smaran's fine century turned the match single-handedly and put Jammu and Kashmir under pressure.

Jammu and Kashmir made a good start to their second innings, and their first wicket fell at 54. But the batters could not stay at the crease for long, and the team was all out for just 111 in 28.4 overs. Kamran Iqbal made 32 and Shubham Khajuria 36. Abdul Samad contributed 20. Apart from these three, no batter reached double figures.

With the ball, Mukesh Kumar took six important wickets for Rest of India. Star pace bowler Akash Deep took three wickets in each innings and helped Pant's side win the match comfortably.
