India's medal tally hits 27 at Asian Games, including 3 golds
With several days of competition left, India sit 12th on the medal table with 3 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals so far.

With the competition still to conclude and several days remaining, India had won a total of 27 medals as of September 26, 2026. On the strength of this performance, India currently stand 12th in the international medal table.
The tally so far stands at 3 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals, adding up to 27 medals in all. Indian athletes have performed particularly well in shooting, athletics and team events, while the Indian teams in kabaddi and cricket have also put up strong performances.
All three of India's gold medals have come in athletics, weightlifting and squash, while the 11 silver and 13 bronze medals have come from these events as well as several others. With many days of competition still remaining, India's strong contenders in badminton, boxing, athletics and some individual events are yet to take the field, and there are hopes across the country that Indian athletes will add more gold and silver medals in the coming days.
In shooting, Indian women athletes kept up their winning run and added another medal for India. In the women's 50m rifle 3-position team event, the trio of Tilottama Sen, Vidarsha Vinod Kochalumkal and Aashi Chouksey won the silver medal.
