The T20 International series between India and New Zealand begins on October 22. The two teams will play five T20 matches. The Indian team has reached New Zealand for the tour.
The tour is divided into three parts. The five-match T20 series comes first, followed by five ODIs and, finally, two Tests.
India had earlier played an ODI and T20 series against the West Indies. India won the ODI series 2-1, while the T20 series ended in a 2-2 draw. India will therefore try to start the New Zealand tour with a win. Since the series against the West Indies was drawn, the Indian team will try to take the lead from the very first match.
