Hyundai Bayon bookings open for Rs 11,000, launch in October
Hyundai has opened advance bookings for its new mid-size SUV Bayon at a token amount of Rs 11,000, ahead of its October launch.
Demand for SUVs in the Indian automobile market continues to rise, and Hyundai is preparing to launch a new mid-size SUV in response. The new car has been named the Hyundai Bayon. The company has opened bookings ahead of the launch so that customers who want to buy it can reserve one in advance. Booking requires a token amount of just Rs 11,000.
Hyundai already has a strong presence in the Indian market with popular models such as the Creta, Venue, i20 and Grand i10. The company is now rolling out the Bayon to offer another option in the SUV segment. According to the information available, the Bayon is expected to launch in October, but bookings have opened ahead of that, giving prospective buyers a chance to book in advance.
On design, Hyundai has focused on giving the Bayon a modern and sporty look. The front features sporty split headlamps and H-shaped LED daytime running lights. Roof rails and a roof spoiler add to the car's appeal. The lower bumper carries a skid plate along with the headlamps, giving the car a rugged look. Pull-type door handles and slim LED taillamps at the rear round out the design. However, official details of the Bayon's length, width and height have not yet been released.
On features too, the new Bayon is expected to use modern technology. The car is expected to come with Hyundai's signature dashboard, a touchscreen infotainment system and several smart features based on AI technology. Teasers released by the company have also given a glimpse of the car's modern design, raising expectations of a strong combination of technology and style.
On performance, the Bayon could get a capable option as well. The SUV is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, along with manual and CVT transmission options. Hyundai is known for smooth engines and a comfortable driving experience, so the Bayon too is expected to emphasise comfortable driving and smooth gear shifts.
Hyundai has not yet announced the official price of the Bayon. However, according to the information available, the new mid-size SUV's ex-showroom price could range between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. With ample cabin space, boot space, headroom and modern features, the Bayon could become an important option for Indian customers. The automobile sector will be watching closely for official details on price, engine and features when the car launches in October.
