Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar rural police have issued a clear warning to owners of hotels, lodges, guest houses, paying guest accommodations and homestays. If a foreign national stays at any of these and the operator hides information about them from the police, the operator will no longer be let off.

Under the rules, complete details of a foreign national's arrival must be registered online within 24 hours. If this information is withheld, or if incorrect or incomplete information is provided, a case will be registered directly. Keeping national security in mind, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar rural police have adopted a strict stance on the matter.

Provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act and Rules 2025 are now being enforced strictly in the district. Any accommodation provider hosting foreign nationals must register their arrival details in the prescribed format, that is, through 'Form III/C Form' or through the authorised digital medium. This registration is not limited to the foreign national's stay alone; details of their departure and where they are headed next must also be entered on the online portal within 24 hours. Police have made clear that all hotels, lodges and other establishments hosting foreign nationals must not be careless in this registration process.

Failing to provide information within the stipulated time, giving incorrect or incomplete information, or deliberately hiding details of a foreign national's stay will be treated seriously by police. Rural police have warned that legal action will be taken against the accommodation provider concerned in such cases.

In addition, operators must maintain all digital records related to the stay of foreign nationals. If the administration seeks these records for verification, it will be the responsibility of the operators concerned to make them available immediately. Police also said the matter is linked to national security, and these rules must be followed strictly.
