Honda QC3 takes on Ather Rizta rivals: Konark compared on price, range and features
Honda's newly launched QC3 electric scooter goes head to head with the Ather Konark in the family segment, with clear differences in price, battery and range.
The family segment of the electric scooter market is seeing stiff competition. Honda's QC3 electric scooter has recently arrived in India and will compete directly with the Ather Konark. Both scooters come with modern features, but they differ considerably in price, battery and range.
On price, the ex-showroom price of the Honda QC3 is Rs 1.35 lakh in Delhi. The scooter is currently available in a single, fully loaded variant and is on sale in five cities. The Ather Konark starts at Rs 99,999 in Bengaluru, while the top variant goes up to Rs 1,44,999. The Konark comes in two trims, S and Z, across a total of six variants.
On batteries, the Ather Konark S is offered with 2.1 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 3.5 kWh options, with an IDC range of 100 km, 125 km and 161 km respectively. A variant with an IDC range of 200 km will follow. The Konark Z has 2.7 kWh and 3.5 kWh battery options.
The Honda QC3 has a 3.0 kWh battery pack. According to the company's claim, it delivers an IDC range of 145 km on a full charge. Charging from 0 to 80 per cent takes about 2 hours 40 minutes, and a full charge takes about 4 hours.
On features, the Ather Konark pulls well ahead. It has 14-inch front and 12-inch rear alloy wheels, illuminated Ather branding, animated wraparound lamps, an adjustable backrest, and features such as SmartWake, MagicKey, AutoPop and AirWalk. The Honda QC3 has a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, Honda RoadSync, turn-by-turn navigation, Smart Key and 32 litres of underseat storage.
Overall, the Honda QC3 is presented as a simple, practical electric scooter for family use. The Ather Konark offers more battery options, a spread of ranges and technology-focused features, giving customers more choice.
