Goregaon buyer waits over a year for flat transfer, says society issued NOC for wrong room
A resident of the Morarji Mill MHADA complex in Goregaon alleges the society gave her a NOC for room 1510 instead of the room 1811 she bought.
A woman who bought a flat in the Morarji Mill MHADA complex 1B Co-operative Housing Society Limited in Goregaon has been waiting for more than a year to get ownership of her home. Resident Priyanka Parag Suki alleges that the flat has not been transferred to her name even though she completed all the required procedures after buying it.
According to Suki, the transfer process began on March 21, 2025. The required application was submitted to the society and a cheque for Rs 25,000 was also given. Suki bought room number 1811. She alleges that she was given a NOC for room number 1510 instead of room number 1811. She also claims that the wrong NOC was issued deliberately.
Suki says room number 1811 has not been transferred to her name between March 2025 and September 2026, although the necessary payments and paperwork have been done. She says she repeatedly wrote to the society and followed up to obtain the correct NOC and complete the transfer.
As the matter was not getting resolved, Suki claims she has also been going through court proceedings for the past year. Despite repeated follow-ups and visits to court, there has been no final resolution. She says she is facing financial and mental distress as a result.
Suki has also alleged that an office-bearer of the building is mentally harassing her. She has asked why the transfer of ownership remains stuck after she paid the required amount and completed the process, and why a NOC for room 1510 was issued in place of room 1811.
Suki has demanded that the authorities concerned take cognisance of the entire matter, conduct a proper inquiry, complete the transfer of the flat immediately and ensure justice for her.
An attempt was made to contact the president of the Morarji Mill MHADA complex society in Goregaon, but there was no response.
