As summer temperatures rise in India, comfort features are gaining importance in cars. Ventilated seats were earlier limited to expensive luxury cars, but that is no longer the case. Some relatively affordable cars now offer the feature for the front seats, which can help buyers who take long summer drives.

One of the cheapest options is the recently launched Tata Aris from Tata Motors. Ventilated front seats start from the Accomplished variant. The petrol MT is priced at Rs 8,19,990 and the petrol AMT at Rs 8,74,990. The petrol-CNG MT costs Rs 9,19,990 and the petrol-CNG AMT Rs 9,74,990. The Aris also stands out as a car offering the feature with a CNG option.

The second car is the Renault Kiger, an affordable SUV in India with ventilated front seats. The feature comes only in the top-spec Emotion trim. The petrol MT variant starts at Rs 8,50,000, the turbo petrol MT is priced at Rs 9,40,000, and the petrol CVT starts at Rs 10,40,000. These variants can also be chosen with a dual-tone option.

The Maruti Baleno is third. Its new facelifted version has ventilated front seats, available in the Alpha and Alpha (O) trims. The Baleno starts at Rs 9,09,900, and an AMT option is available along with the petrol MT. Fuel economy of up to 24.77 km/l is another plus point for the Baleno.

The fourth car is the Maruti Brezza, which gets ventilated front seats only in the top-spec ZXi+ trim. With the feature, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol MT is priced at Rs 11,41,500 and the 1.5-litre petrol AT at Rs 13,70,500. This could be a useful option for those who prioritise comfort features when buying an SUV.

The fifth car on the list is the Citroen Basalt X, an affordable mid-size SUV-coupe with ventilated front seats. The feature comes in the top-spec Max trim. The 1.2-litre petrol MT is priced at Rs 11,34,300. The turbo petrol MT and AT are priced at Rs 12,62,500 and Rs 13,89,500 respectively. It is a distinct option for those who want both summer comfort and an SUV-coupe design.

In short, from the Tata Aris, Renault Kiger and Maruti Baleno to the Brezza and Basalt X, five cars offer this premium comfort feature. In most of them it comes with the top variant or top trim, so buyers would do well to check both trim and price when choosing a car.
