Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took part in a community prayer and bhajan programme at Lohari Savanga village in Nagpur district, saying he was fortunate to celebrate Diwali with farmers there.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Lohari Savanga village in Nagpur district. A large programme of community prayer and bhajans had been organised in the village, and he took part in it.

The programme was held in front of the statue of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj. Fadnavis sat with the villagers in traditional style and took part with full enthusiasm in the spiritual and devotional event. Being held before the saint's statue added to its significance.

During the bhajan, the Chief Minister and all the villagers present sang the popular bhajan "Gopala Gopala, Devakinandan Gopala" in unison. The rhythmic beat of the khanjiri and the sound of the mridang, both traditional instruments, filled the atmosphere with devotion and energy.

The venue rang with chants in praise of Lord Vitthal and cries of "Gopala". Children, youth and elders of the village all joined the community prayer with great enthusiasm.

In a message on the occasion, Fadnavis wrote that being able to wipe the tears from farmers' eyes was what made a true Diwali for him. He wrote that Lohari Savanga village in Nagpur district is rich in the historic heritage of the Hemadpanthi Shiva temple and the natural beauty lent by the Kar river, and that he had the good fortune to celebrate Diwali there with his farmer brothers.

The community bhajan and prayer before the statue of Tukdoji Maharaj conveyed a message of deep devotion, mutual harmony and social unity. The way the villagers took part together made that message clearer.

Chief Minister Fadnavis's easy participation in the religious and cultural event alongside ordinary villagers remained a talking point among people. Faces of everyone present showed reverence, joy and enthusiasm throughout.
