Nagpur police detain 14-year-old, solve 10 vehicle theft cases
A 14-year-old boy detained in Nagpur's Nandanvan area has confessed to stealing nine two-wheelers and to one more theft, police said.
Police in Nagpur have detained a 14-year-old minor while investigating a vehicle theft in the Nandanvan area. Ten cases, including two-wheeler thefts, have been solved through him.
An Activa belonging to Nitin Suryavanshi, a resident of Nandanvan Colony, was stolen on September 28. During the investigation, Nandanvan police found from CCTV footage at the spot that the 14-year-old was involved.
On being taken into custody and questioned, the minor confessed to stealing nine two-wheelers, including Suryavanshi's Activa. He also admitted to a theft in the Kotwali police station area.
Nine two-wheelers and goods worth Rs 6 lakh in all have been recovered from him. The minor had been involved in crime for four years.
