Sai Satyam, Eagles and Puneri cricket clubs won their league-round matches in the DSP Karandak Monsoon League corporate cricket tournament at Wagholi.

Sai Satyam Cricket Club, Eagles Cricket Club and Puneri Cricket Club recorded fine wins to advance in the league round of the DSP Karandak Monsoon League mixed corporate cricket tournament organised by DSP Sports and Events. All the matches were played at the Pune Cricket Club ground in Wagholi.

In the first match, Sai Satyam Cricket Club beat Golden Cricket Club by 91 runs. Batting first, Sai Satyam scored 162 for 6 in 20 overs. Pawan Anand smashed an unbeaten 78 off 48 balls with 11 fours and a six. He was supported by Vikrant Dubey (26) and Sagar Bhapkar (18). For Golden Club, Ganesh Khandve took 2 wickets and Naveen Kumar took 1.

In reply, Golden Cricket Club were bowled out for just 71 runs in 15.1 overs. Apart from Mahesh Dada (19), Rohan Chaurasia (18) and Abhay Shinde (13), the rest of the batsmen could not do much. Sai Satyam's Atiq Sahay took 3 wickets for just 9 runs and Mohit Chordia took 3 for 16; Rupen Gaikwad and Vijay Patel also took 2 wickets each. Pawan Anand was named Man of the Match.

In the second match, Eagles Cricket Club beat Mighty Stars in a thrilling finish by just 4 runs. Batting first, Eagles were all out for 86 in 14.2 overs. Pulkit contributed 20, Sunil Jhutshi 17 and Divyanshu Pathak 14. For Mighty Stars, Sachin Nair took 3 wickets for 17 runs, Mahesh Kokrale took 2 and Lahu Lohar took 1.

Chasing what looked like an easy target of 87 to win, Mighty Stars were all out for 82 in 19 overs. Sandeep Taur (unbeaten 24), Vaibhav Jathar (22) and Lahu Lohar (15) tried to take the team home, but Eagles' Ankit Singh turned the match around by taking 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Aakash Singh also played a key role in the win, taking 3 wickets for 14 runs. Ankit Singh was named Man of the Match.

In the third match, Puneri Cricket Club beat Corporate Crushers by 15 runs on the back of an all-round performance from Vishal Gaikwad. Batting first, Puneri Cricket Club were all out for 118 in 19.4 overs. Vishal Gaikwad (24), Rajat Adhye (22), Mahesh Chavan (12) and Adesh Upadhyay (11) contributed with the bat. For Corporate Crushers, Anand K. took 5 wickets for 37 runs, while Rahul Rangnekar took 3 for 25.

Chasing a target of 119, Corporate Crushers were bowled out for 103 in 17.4 overs. Innings of 16 by Gopal Agarwal, 14 by Prajesh, 11 by Kulveer Singh and 11 by Vaibhav Gadkari were not enough to see the team home. Puneri Cricket Club's Prasad Devkate took 4 wickets for 23 runs and Vishal Gaikwad took 3 for 14 to halt the opposition's innings. Vishal Gaikwad was awarded Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
