Drone films Khadse's Muktainagar farmhouse at night; he complains to police, seeks high-level probe
NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Eknath Khadse has written to the Jalgaon Deputy Superintendent of Police over a drone that filmed his farmhouse on the night of September 28.
A serious matter has come to light in Jalgaon. An unknown person filmed Khadse Farm, the Muktainagar farmhouse of Eknath Khadse, with a drone at night. Khadse is a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), a former minister and an MLA. He suspects a larger conspiracy is being hatched against him. He has therefore lodged a complaint in a letter to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jalgaon, and demanded a high-level inquiry.
The incident is said to have taken place on September 28. Khadse's farmhouse is on Malkapur Road, near National Highway No. 6. Between about 7.50 pm and 8.15 pm, a drone was suddenly seen hovering there, filming the entire farmhouse premises.
Khadse himself was in Mumbai at the time. Sachin Marathe, the watchman who works at the farmhouse, noticed the drone. Showing presence of mind, he recorded the whole incident on his mobile phone and has kept the video safe as evidence.
Given the seriousness of the matter, copies of the letter have also been sent to the Deputy Superintendent at police headquarters, the inspector of Muktainagar police station and the sub-divisional officer. The demands are that those who carried out the drone reconnaissance of the farmhouse be traced, that the entire matter be thoroughly investigated at a high level, that the guilty be acted against and that a report be submitted.
Speaking on the incident, Khadse expressed serious concern about his safety. He said flying a drone at night without permission to carry out reconnaissance is a very grave matter. He also said that earlier, his mobile phones were illegally tapped for 62 consecutive days without any permission from him. He has filed a complaint about this at a police station in Mumbai.
According to Khadse, something like this has happened again, so he feels some larger conspiracy must be being hatched against him somewhere. This is Khadse's allegation. No identification or arrest in the case has been reported so far.
