Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh welcome second child, a baby girl

Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have become parents for the second time, with a baby girl born to them once again.

The couple, who are active on social media, shared the happy news themselves on their official Instagram account with a post featuring the baby's footprints, captioned "Welcome baby girl" along with the birth date. Their second daughter was born on September 19.

Celebrities and fans have showered the couple with congratulatory messages on social media following the announcement, including singer Shreya Ghoshal among several other artists who commented with wishes.

A day earlier, on September 18, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had visited Mumbai's famous Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. Photos and videos of the two stars at the temple went viral on social media, with Ranveer seen taking special care of his wife. Fans are calling the arrival of their new daughter just a day after the temple visit a blessing from the deity.

The couple's first daughter was also born in the month of September. Their first daughter, named Dua Padukone Singh, was born on September 8, 2024. A few months after Dua's birth, the couple shared the first glimpse of their daughter with fans on the occasion of Diwali. With the arrival of Dua's younger sister, there is an atmosphere of celebration across the Padukone and Singh families.
