Crop damage surveys begin in Khandala taluka; tehsildar urges farmers to get e-crop inspection done
Panchnamas of crop losses have started in Satara district's Khandala taluka, and Tehsildar Raviraj Jadhav has asked farmers to complete the e-crop inspection needed for compensation.
Panchnamas, the official assessments of crop losses, have begun in Khandala taluka of Satara district. For the kharif season 2026, Trigger-1 (the first trigger) has come into effect in 265 talukas of the state. The government has directed that loss panchnamas start immediately in all these talukas, and Khandala taluka in Satara district is among them.
In line with the government's directions, the work has begun in Khandala taluka. Tehsildar Raviraj Jadhav visited the fields himself and inspected the damage in the presence of the village revenue officer, the agriculture assistant and the farmers concerned.
As per the government decision, photographs showing the present condition of the crops and GPS coordinates will be collected in the surveyed areas. A report on the current state of the crops will be submitted on this basis.
An e-crop inspection is mandatory for compensation. Tehsildar Jadhav has therefore appealed to farmers in Khandala taluka to get the e-crop inspection of their crop done. It can be done through the farmer login, or with the help of the village inspection assistant.
For the panchnama process, farmers have been asked to keep their bank account number, IFSC code, Farmer ID and required documents ready, so that further action can be easier. Jadhav also appealed to farmers to cooperate with the teams conducting the panchnamas and to complete the e-crop inspection on time.
