CIDCO relaunches first-come, first-served sale of 3,000 flats in Navi Mumbai

CIDCO has relaunched an important scheme for those hoping to own a home in Navi Mumbai. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and non-EWS flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will now be sold on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis.

The plan is to make a total of 3,000 flats available in Kharghar, Taloja, Kalamboli and Dronagiri. Of these, 500 are EWS flats and 2,500 are non-EWS flats. Interested applicants will be able to pick the flat of their choice directly, subject to availability, and register for it.

CIDCO had first launched the FCFS scheme in December 2025. It has now been restarted, and unsold flats in the various nodes of Navi Mumbai will be registered in this manner.

In the Taloja and Dronagiri nodes, prices of flats under the FCFS scheme have been fixed at the rates of the financial year 2022-23. These rates will apply to the available homes in these areas. According to CIDCO, the beneficiary will be given possession of the flat immediately after the full amount is received.

Eligible applicants registering for EWS flats must complete one more important process. They must have their names added as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana beneficiaries on the Central government's PMAY-MIS website. For this, linking an Aadhaar number is mandatory, and verification through OTP may also be required if needed. Completing this process is mandatory for eligible applicants for EWS flats.

Eligible EWS beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can receive a subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh under the Central government scheme. To avail of this benefit, however, the beneficiary-addition process must be completed by submitting the required documents. If the process is completed on time, the applicable subsidy can be availed. Priya Ratambe, a senior officer in CIDCO's public relations department, has appealed to eligible EWS applicants to complete the process with the required documents.

The flats are located at the following places. In Taloja, Sectors 21, 22, 27, 34, 36 and 37. In Kharghar, Sector 40. In Dronagiri, Sectors 11 and 12. In Kalamboli, Sector 15. Unsold flats at all these locations will be registered on an FCFS basis.

Flat selection and registration under FCFS will be subject to availability, so applicants will have to complete the process and meet the eligibility and document requirements before registering.
