A woman who has no child told Aniruddhacharya Maharaj at a gathering that her husband taunts her and keeps his distance, and the preacher offered to counsel him.
Some couples do not want children after marriage, while others are unable to have them. For a woman who, in such a time of grief, gets taunts every day instead of her husband's support, and must bear it all in silence, there is little worse. One woman in this situation has shared her pain with Aniruddhacharya Maharaj, who is seen advising people in such circumstances on his Instagram handle.
The woman came to Aniruddhacharya Maharaj's gathering and spoke of her suffering in front of everyone. She said, "I do not have a child, and because of this my husband is always irritated with me and taunts me." The Maharaj replied, "I am your son." The woman said she understood this, but her heart was still heavy.
She went on to say that she had undergone IVF in 2021 and was pregnant at the time. But the Covid wave was at its worst then, and in the meantime her child died. She said, "The fault is in me alone. Now my menopause has also begun."
The woman also told the Maharaj, "Maharaj, you had explained to me that for those who have no child, God is doing something good, just as Mirabai too had no child. I can understand what you have said, but my husband does not. That is why he keeps away from me." On hearing this, Aniruddhacharya Maharaj said, "Bring your husband, I will make him understand."
The episode shows that being unable to have a child, or to conceive, causes tension and quarrels in many couples. Often husband and wife begin blaming each other, and this creates a great distance in the relationship. At such a time it is very important to understand each other and to stand by each other in a difficult period.
Whether a child will be born is certainly not in our hands. But understanding each other and standing by each other is. Having a child is not the only meaning of life; what matters is keeping the relationship together. The whole incident is an eye-opener on what family means and how to look after it.
