Chandrakant alias Chandu Vende of the Shrimant Chhatrapati Babaraje Pratishthan said Ankush Kadam would face the consequences if he spoke about Shivendrasinhraje again.
Medha: Chandrakant alias Chandu Vende, president of the Shrimant Chhatrapati Babaraje Pratishthan, has issued a stern warning to Ankush Kadam. Vende said Kadam has been speaking about Shivendrasinhraje, a descendant of Chhatrapati, and would have to face the consequences if he did so again.
Vende claimed that Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje had given Kadam a Assembly ticket on behalf of the Swarajya Paksha and thereby a chance in politics, and that this was how Kadam entered politics. He said the question was what Kadam had achieved with that chance. Vende alleged that Kadam betrayed Sambhajiraje and joined the Shiv Sena, and that he counts for nothing even in the Shiv Sena in Navi Mumbai.
Vende accused Kadam of finding one pretext or another in Jawali to carry on his "popatpanchi" and of being driven by political self-interest. He said people trust the development that Minister Shivendrasinhraje has brought to Jawali and also hold affection for the Raje. Vende told Kadam to stop this popatpanchi, or the public would not let him move about in Jawali.
According to Vende, Shivendrasinhraje has transformed Jawali in terms of development over the last three terms. He said the Raje has given jobs to many young people through the district bank and other means. Vende told Kadam to reflect on what he himself has done so far. He also said that for the district bank election Kadam could not secure the resolution of even one society in the Kusumbi circle, yet he speaks of taluka politics.
Vende said that if anyone does wrong using the name of Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale, the Raje never shields him. He said the Raje's role so far has been to sideline such tendencies. Vende said some people are trying to give their personal and business disputes a political colour to benefit themselves, and that the people of Jawali are wise enough to see through it.
Vende also took Kadam to task for invoking Eknath Shinde's name. He said that on one hand Shinde's name is used to stir the emotions of the people of Jawali, while Shinde is a constituent of the Mahayuti. Vende told Kadam to stop the devious attempt to widen disputes between alliance partners, or senior leaders of his own party would expel him from it.
Vende also referred to the Maratha reservation agitation. He said Kadam should not be made to spell out how he mocked the Maratha community during that time. Vende said again that if Kadam spoke further about Shivendrasinhraje, whom he reveres, there would be trouble for him.
Vende also asked whether Atish Kadam, in whose support a protest march was taken out in Medha yesterday, is a Shiv Sena panchayat samiti member. He said this should be checked first. According to Vende, creating stunts on some pretext for no reason is a weakness of Kadam that the people of Jawali know. He said, taunting Kadam, that he should first check in his own Shiv Sena who is with the party and who is not, and then talk about the development of Jawali.
