The Election Commission of India has given eligible voters left out of the draft roll during SIR-2026 another chance to have their names added to the final list in Chandrapur district.

The Election Commission of India has once again given eligible voters who were left out of the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) a chance to be included. Such voters in Chandrapur district will now be able to get their names added to the final list.

In this exercise, some voters had been recorded as absent, shifted, dead or duplicate entries. For this reason, their names did not appear in the draft roll. Vasumana Pant, Chandrapur District Collector and District Election Officer, has appealed to such voters to make use of the opportunity by submitting the required enumeration form and a request.

Under the Commission's directions of November 6, 2026, a polling-station-wise list will be republished of voters who were given enumeration forms in the SIR but whose names could not be included in the draft roll for various reasons. The list will be available on the notice boards of the polling stations concerned, at gram panchayat offices, at the offices of urban local bodies and at the offices of the electoral officers concerned. The list will also be posted on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer.

Voters whose names are not in the draft roll must submit a filled and signed enumeration form to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) or Booth Level Officer (BLO).

Voters who are still living at their old address should submit a request in Annexure-B along with the enumeration form. The request must state why they had not submitted the enumeration form earlier.

Voters who have moved elsewhere within the state must write their new address and assembly constituency details. They should submit a request in Annexure-C and proof of the new address along with the enumeration form. Such voters do not need to separately fill Form 8.

Voters can download the enumeration form from the Election Commission of India website or the ECINET app by entering the number of their old Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC), and submit it. A "Book a Call with BLO" facility is also available for contacting the BLO.

Those who have already submitted Form 6 for new voter registration during the SIR do not need to submit an enumeration form again.

The Booth Level Officer concerned will contact such voters directly. They will give the necessary guidance and provide the enumeration form. After the applications received are examined and verified as per the rules, the names of eligible voters will be added to the final electoral roll.

Vasumana Pant said that so that no eligible voter is deprived of the right to vote, everyone should make sure whether their name is in the draft roll. If it is not, they should submit the enumeration form in the prescribed manner with the required documents. She appealed to all eligible voters of the district concerned to make use of this opportunity given by the Commission.
