The Election Commission of India has given eligible voters left out of the draft roll in Chandrapur during SIR-2026 one more chance to get their names into the final list.
Eligible voters in Chandrapur whose names did not make it into the draft electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) have been given one more chance by the Election Commission of India to get their names into the final list. These voters had been recorded as absent, shifted, dead or as double entries, which is why their names were left out of the draft roll. District Collector and District Election Officer Vasumana Pant has appealed to such voters to make use of the chance by submitting the required enumeration form and application.
Under the Commission's directive of November 6, 2026, a polling-station-wise list will be released again of voters who were given an enumeration form during the revision but whose names did not appear in the draft roll for various reasons. The list will be available on the notice boards of the polling stations concerned, at gram panchayat offices, at offices of urban local bodies and at the offices of the electoral registration officers concerned. It will also be posted on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer.
Those whose names are not in the draft roll should hand over a filled-in and signed enumeration form to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) or the Booth Level Officer (BLO).
Voters who are still living at their old address must submit an Annexure-B application along with the enumeration form. The application must state why they did not submit the enumeration form earlier.
Voters who have moved to another residence within the state must write down the new address and details of the assembly constituency, and submit an Annexure-C application along with the enumeration form and proof of the new address. Such voters do not need to fill in Form-8 separately.
Voters can download the enumeration form using their old Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number from the Election Commission of India website or the ECINET app, and submit it. A "Book a Call with BLO" facility has also been provided to speak to booth level officers.
Those who have already submitted Form-6 to be enrolled as new voters during the revision do not need to submit an enumeration form again.
The booth level officers concerned will contact such voters, give them the necessary guidance and also provide them the enumeration form. The applications received will be examined and verified as per the rules, after which the names of eligible voters will be added to the final electoral roll.
Vasumana Pant has said that so that no eligible voter is deprived of the right to vote, everyone should first make sure whether their name is in the draft roll. If it is not, they should submit the enumeration form with the necessary documents in the prescribed manner. She has appealed to all eligible voters concerned in the district to make use of this opportunity given by the Election Commission.
