A vigilance awareness week is being observed in Chandrapur district from October 26 to November 1, 2026. The programme will be run by the Chandrapur unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). This year's theme is "Probity for Prosperity".

The theme was set on the directions of the Central Vigilance Commission and the General Administration Department of the Maharashtra government. In line with these directions, the week is being observed across the state. In Chandrapur, its aim is to build public opinion against corruption in the district and bring transparency to administration.

During the week, the ACB has planned a large-scale awareness campaign among the people of the district. Several programmes will be held at government offices, bus stations, railway stations, schools and colleges. Besides meeting people directly, the bureau will also carry its anti-corruption message to them through Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS and other social media.

Anil Jittawar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB Chandrapur, has appealed to citizens to adopt the spirit of "Probity for Prosperity" to build a corruption-free society and transparent administration, and to take part in large numbers in the week.

Mr Jittawar also said that if any government officer or employee demands a bribe, whether in money or in any other form, while getting government work done, people should contact ACB Chandrapur immediately, without yielding to any pressure.

For complaints or contact, people can visit the ACB unit office, which is on Civil Lines, behind the Hutatma Smarak, at Warora Naka, Chandrapur. Help is available on telephone number 07172-250251. The toll-free number is 1064 and the WhatsApp number is 8379951064.

Information can also be sent by email to dyspacbchandrapur@mahapolice.gov.in or acbchandrapur@gmail.com. The ACB has appealed to people to contact it through these channels.
