The CBI, which is investigating the NEET-UG scam, has reached the final stage of its probe. The agency has reportedly completed preparations to file the final chargesheet in the much-discussed case in court within the next week. The chargesheet is expected to expose several people who orchestrated the entire scheme from behind the scenes.

NEET-UG is the country's largest medical entrance examination and has been in the news for some time over controversies and irregularities. Students taking the examination always fear that their hard work may be wasted because of solver gangs or those who leak papers. The irregularities shook the country's education system and put the future of lakhs of candidates at risk. The matter had caused uproar from the streets to Parliament.

Since the investigation began, the CBI has taken action in several states, conducting raids in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in particular. The agency has identified all the masterminds, solver gang kingpins and middlemen accused of spreading the paper leak racket for large sums of money. The final chargesheet will present strong digital and documentary evidence against all these accused.

The CBI's investigation has revealed how deep and wide the syndicate's network spread. The agency is making every effort to ensure that no accused escapes easily in court. The chargesheet also clarifies the role of some medical students and their parents, who tried to benefit from this illegal network by taking a shortcut. The action has caused panic in the examination mafia.

Once the final chargesheet is filed, the legal process in the case is expected to move faster. It is hoped that the guilty will be punished soon. The step is being seen as very important for making the Indian education system transparent and ending the roots of the NEET-UG paper leak. Crores of parents and students across the country are now watching the CBI's final report.
