Body of 50-year-old woman found near Punapur nullah in Nagpur's Pardi
Police have registered a case of accidental death after the woman, who left home for work on Friday, was found dead near the nullah on Saturday morning.
The body of a 50-year-old woman was found near the Punapur nullah in the Pardi police station area of Nagpur on Saturday morning, causing alarm in the locality. The deceased has been identified as Phulesia Nohar Bharti, a resident of the same area.
Phulesia worked at a saw company. She left home for work at around 8 am on Friday but never reached her workplace. Her body was found near the Punapur nullah on Saturday morning.
According to family members, Phulesia was addicted to alcohol and often stayed away from home for several days at a time. For this reason, the actual cause of her death is yet to be established.
Pardi police reached the spot on receiving information and took the body into their custody. Police have registered a case of accidental death and begun an investigation. The circumstances of the woman's death will become clear only after the post-mortem report and the police probe.
