Ahead of the upcoming election to the Pune Graduates Constituency, the BJP has built up its contact network in every taluka. Party leader and guardian minister Chandrakant Patil said this at a meeting in Sangli, and directed party functionaries to further strengthen the contact network linked to graduate voters in every taluka.

The meeting in Sangli discussed two issues, the upcoming election to the Pune Graduates and Teachers Constituency, and the five-yearly election to the Sangli District Central Cooperative Bank. BJP functionaries reviewed preparations for both elections in full.

Patil told the meeting clearly that functionaries and workers in every taluka should directly increase contact with voters, check voter lists, and ensure the party's organisational structure effectively reaches every graduate voter in the taluka. It was also directed that functionaries should learn about the local problems of graduate voters and maintain continuous dialogue with them.

The Pune division Graduates Constituency covers five districts, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur. This is why the meeting placed special emphasis on preparing a voter contact plan for every taluka in Sangli district. It was also stated that arrangements are being made to pass on to workers necessary information related to voter registration, checking of voter lists, and the election process.

The same meeting also reviewed the five-yearly election to the Sangli District Central Cooperative Bank. Discussions covered the current organisational position, coordination among functionaries, and further election preparations, taluka-wise and constituency-wise, for the bank election.

The meeting was attended by senior BJP functionaries including former minister Dr Suresh Khade, MLA Suresh Gadgil, MLA Gopichand Padalkar, MLA Satyajit Deshmukh, district president Samrat Mahadik, senior BJP leaders Makarand Deshpande and Neeta Kelkar, former MLA Bhagwanrao Salunkhe, former MLA Prithviraj Deshmukh, Sangram Deshmukh, former Zilla Parishad president Amarsinh Deshmukh, Jat municipal council president Dr Ravindra Aarli, and former MLA Dinkar Patil.

The meeting also decided that, ahead of the Pune Graduates and Teachers Constituency election, a series of taluka-level meetings will continue in the coming days, along with a sustained focus on voter contact and organisational review.
