Pardi police seize liquor meant for dry day on Gandhi Jayanti, Rs 7.55 lakh worth of goods recovered
Police on Bhandara Road in Nagpur seized liquor and a car worth Rs 7.55 lakh and arrested one man, Akhilesh Jaiswal.
Nagpur: Pardi police have seized liquor brought in for the dry day on Gandhi Jayanti on Bhandara Road. Goods worth Rs 7.55 lakh, including the car, were recovered.
The consignment was headed from Nagpur to Bhugaon. Pardi police were checking vehicles at a blockade set up in front of the Suruchi company on Bhandara Highway Road when they stopped a Maruti Baleno car and searched it.
Bottles of liquor of different brands were recovered from the car. Police arrested Akhilesh Jaiswal, who was travelling in it. Goods worth Rs 7.55 lakh, including the liquor and the Baleno car, were seized.
