Aastha Spintex announces 1:1 bonus shares, record date September 28
Gujarat-based yarn maker to issue 4.41 crore free bonus shares, doubling shareholders' holdings without any extra payment
Aastha Spintex Limited, a yarn and textile manufacturer headquartered in Halvad (Saurashtra), Gujarat, has announced a 1:1 bonus issue for its shareholders, giving one free share for every share held. The company's board met on September 22 and fixed Monday, September 28, 2026 as the record date for the bonus issue. Under the plan, the company will allot a total of 4,41,42,190 shares free of cost.
The bonus ratio is 1:1, with the face value of the equity share at Rs 10 per share. The allotment date is Tuesday, September 29, 2026, and trading in the new bonus shares will begin from Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Eligible investors holding the company's shares as of September 28, 2026 will get one additional new share free for every original share (face value Rs 10) they hold, doubling their shareholding without any extra payment. The company will use Rs 44.14 crore from its reserves and premium account for the bonus issue. To facilitate the issue, the company has decided to raise its authorised share capital from Rs 45 crore to Rs 100 crore.
The company has announced a three-pronged strategy for business expansion and better shareholder returns. This includes financial efficiency through higher profits and cost control, returns to shareholders through bonus shares and dividends, and vertical integration to expand beyond yarn manufacturing into direct textile production.
The company recently acquired Falcon Yarns Private Limited, resulting in a significant rise in production capacity. Yarn production capacity has gone up from 7,700 metric tonnes to 17,457 metric tonnes, while spindle capacity has risen from 25,920 to 61,824. Falcon Yarns has an order book worth Rs 51.46 crore to be completed between August 2026 and October 2026. A 1.35 MW rooftop solar project is being set up at Falcon Yarns' plant in Rajkot, approved by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), and work is currently underway at a fast pace.
The company has performed well over the last two financial years. Revenue rose from Rs 240 crore in FY2023 to Rs 352 crore in FY2025. Net profit during this period rose from Rs 1.1 crore to Rs 23 crore, while operating profit margin increased from 5.87 percent to 14.16 percent.
