Whenever the top Marathi actresses are discussed, Sai Tamhankar's name invariably comes up. Sai has made her mark not only in Marathi but also in Bollywood. Whether it is a glamorous look or a bold character, she gives every role her all. Her film 'Adkitta' recently released on an OTT platform, and her character in it is being widely talked about.

After watching the film, a Marathi actress has warmly praised Sai. Aarti Solanki, the comedy queen who became a household name through 'Fu Bai Fu', is known for speaking her mind. She recently put up an Instagram post openly appreciating Sai. But she did not stop at praise; she also gave Marathi viewers some home truths.

Aarti wrote in her post, "I watched Adkitta and Sai's whole journey came before my eyes. I have watched her journey since Fu Bai Fu. Sometimes a bold role, sometimes a completely simple woman, sometimes an item song, sometimes anchoring, and then Hindi films... Sai has done it all." Aarti did not stop there.

She went on to write, "Seeing all this, I feel how small-hearted we are as Marathi viewers. We know how to praise only Bollywood heroines. Even if they do not know the first thing about acting, we put them on a pedestal and call them superstars. But our own Marathi girls do such big work, and still we do not value them." Aarti's jibe was aimed squarely at viewers who run only after Bollywood.

Aarti named a few more actresses in the post. She said, "We have so many actresses like Sai Tamhankar, Priya Bapat, Chhaya Kadam and Amruta Khanvilkar. They are working not only in Marathi films but everywhere, in Bollywood, web series and theatre. They have earned this name after years of struggle. So as viewers we should open our hearts and call our own actresses superstars."

Many people have commented in support of Aarti's post. Sai Tamhankar has also replied to it. Sai's 'Adkitta' is currently in the news, and Aarti's praise has added to the buzz around the film.
