11th Nandi Sammelan held in Dombivli, with Ravindra Chavan as reception committee chairman
The conference in Dombivli discussed AI, jobs and the place of Marathi language and literature in a fast-changing digital age.
The 11th Nandi Sammelan was held with great enthusiasm in Dombivli, known as the city of literature. The conference was held in the run-up to the 100th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. Literature lovers, youth and ordinary citizens of Dombivli turned up in large numbers and responded warmly.
BJP Maharashtra state president Ravindra Chavan was present as chairman of the reception committee. He spoke about the importance of the Marathi language. Chavan said, "Mother Marathi is our identity, our sense of self and our pride. This conference is a platform for dialogue that connects literature, technology and the thinking of the new generation."
This year's conference held discussion sessions and seminars on the theme "Information Technology, AI and Literature". Dignitaries shared their views on the changes AI is bringing to everyday life, new career opportunities and the changing world of work. As the influence of technology grows, future job opportunities and challenges were also discussed.
The seminar also considered what place the Marathi language and literature will have in the rapidly changing era of AI and digital technology. Special emphasis was laid on the need to connect the new generation with the Marathi language and literature along with technology. The conference was seen as a platform for dialogue linking literature, technology and the thinking of the new generation.
Those present included Rajesh Pande, president of the Samarth Yuva Foundation and BJP Maharashtra state general secretary; literary figure Arun Shevte; senior journalist Shrikant Bojewar; Madhav Joshi; and Prof. Dr Vinay Bhole, among other dignitaries.
Dr Dhanashree Sane, president of the Dombivli branch of the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad; Prabhu Kapse, executive editor of the Dombivlikar monthly; and Rahul Damle, deputy mayor of Kalyan-Dombivli, also attended. Several other dignitaries from the literary, social and cultural fields were present too. Appreciative audiences from Dombivli took part in large numbers and gave the conference a warm response.
