Work on the slope of the Palace Orchid road in the Mohammadwadi-Undri area has begun. Ward 41 corporator Nivrutti Anna Bandal visited the site on October 27, 2026, and inspected the work. He stressed the quality of the work, safety on the road and its completion on time.

Residential settlement in the area has grown rapidly, and the demand for better civic amenities has risen with it. The work is expected to resolve road-related problems in the area.

During the inspection, Bandal reviewed the work in progress. He said the project must be carried out with proper planning and attention must be paid to ensuring that it lasts long. He also said residents must be able to travel safely and conveniently, and that necessary care must be taken to keep inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians to a minimum while the work is on.

Bandal said: "The start of the work is a positive step, but its quality is just as important. The departments concerned should ensure that the work is done properly and take the necessary precautions so that motorists and pedestrians are not inconvenienced."

He congratulated Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram for starting the work. Bandal said the civic administration deserved praise for acting in time on citizens' infrastructure concerns.

Bandal said coordination between elected representatives and municipal officials is necessary to resolve local problems. He added that civic projects must be completed to the required standard, and that other pending infrastructure issues in Mohammadwadi and Undri should receive the same attention.

"Citizens pay taxes and, in return, expect good roads and basic civic amenities. Development must be visible on the ground. It is our responsibility to raise people's problems and keep following them up with the administration until actual solutions are found," he said.

Residents of the area now expect the slope work to be completed within the set time, and adequate attention to be paid to construction quality and road safety.
